Provisioning
There are no grocery stores on Jost Van Dyke. However, you may shop in St. Thomas or Tortola along your way to Sandy Ground.
Some guests bring their food with them from home, especially if you require special food items.
You can order your provisions through Bobby's Supermarket. You can order your provisions directly from Bobby's website at www.bobbysmarketplace.com
Please also note that if you are bringing provisions into the BVI, it is to be declared and Customs may charge a 10% duty on its value.

Special Equipment
For your comfort we suggest you bring a supply of appropriate sunscreen, as well as a flashlight for those romantic night walks.
Reef-walkers or pool shoes are advisable for snorkeling or swimming. Snorkel equipment is available.
A spectacular reef extends the length of our beach providing incredible snorkeling and ultimate privacy.
We also offer rentals on several water sports for your enjoyment. Feel free to jump in a Kayak and paddle around the beautiful area or take our motor dighy and investigate the shores of Jost Van Dyke. If you feel like sailing, rent out Sunfish and visit Foxy's or sail over to White Bay and visit the Soggy Dollar Bar.

Passports
If you are a US Citizen and travelling to the BVI, the United States Government now requires a valid passport to regain entry into the US.
If you do not have a passport yet, please apply soon. We don't want you to miss a minute on our beautiful beach. Click here for information on obtaining a passport.

Land Taxi's
One way passage between Beef Island Airport and West End ferry Dock
1-3 persons - $36
$3 per 15 minutes they have to wait for you to shop. Additional person $12.
One way passage between St Thomas Airport and Red Hook Ferry Dock
1-4 persons - $45
$25 per hour they have to wait for you to shop. Additional person $10
If you are only going from the Airport to the main ferry dock in St Thomas (about 10 minutes) it is cheaper if you organize your own taxi outside the airport.

Private Water Taxi
Guests who arrive through Tortola's Beef Island airport normally require a Private Water Taxi from West End to Sandy Ground. Arrangements can be made through the Sandy Ground Office. The current rate, subject to change is:
$150 for up to four persons. Extra charges may apply for night time or waits.
One way water taxi service between Red Hook, St Thomas and Sandy Ground is currently $275 for up to five people.
There are additional charges for extra people plus fees for BVI customs and immigration.
